Ashburnham-Adrian J. Comeaux, 69 died Friday, November 26, 2021 at UMass Medical Center in Worcester after a long illness. He leaves his wife, Susie (Washington) Comeaux; one daughter, Bonnie Pierce of Ashburnham; one son, Michael Comeaux and his wife Marie of Brimfield; three granddaughters Bria Comeaux, Emma Comeaux and Tessa Comeaux all of Brimfield; five brothers and sisters, Jack Comeaux, Rene Comeaux and his wife Anna, Diane Brehm and her husband Tommy, Paul Comeaux and Michele Berthelot and her husband Joey; his In-laws, Frederick and Dorith Washington; one brother-in-law John Washington and his wife Bonnie; close family-friends Steve, Carol and Rozanne Weston, several nieces and nephews and many very special friends. Adrian was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on April 9, 1952, a son of the late Ned and Hubertina (Provost) Comeaux. He was raised in Louisiana, after high school he joined the US Navy and served during the Vietnam War. He graduated from Fitchburg State College with a BA in Industrial Arts. He worked for Quinsigamond College for 34 years as a professor of electronics, computers and math. He was loved by all of his students and in 2017 was awarded Professor Emeritus of the Electronics Program. Adrian was the head coach for his son's youth basketball, soccer, and baseball teams for over 8 years. He was a motorcycle enthusiast and belonged to the Valkyrie Motorcycle Club. He and Susie loved taking long rides on his bike. He was a member of the Fitchburg Sportsmen's club. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, hunting, boating and sailing. He was an avid Red Sox, Celtics, and Patriots fan, watching many games on TV. Adrian was a wonderful cook and made amazing bread. He enjoyed cooking for friends and family. He designed and built his house on Sunset Lake. He loved the lake and the view of Mt Monadnock out his window. His greatest joy came from his family, who will miss him dearly. Adrian's funeral will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. in the Lamoureux-Smith and Polik Chapel of the Mack Family Funeral Homes, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440.
