Adrienne F Brault

Athol- Adrienne (Florida) Brault passed away on November 23, 2018 at Baldwinville Nursing Home. She was born on March 17, 1925 in Sheffield, Vermont to Joseph and Florida Paquin. On Thanksgiving Day 1946, Adrienne married Louis Philippe Brault at St. Paul’s Church in Barton, Vermont after which, the couple moved to Athol. Shortly thereafter they opened a grocery store at the corner of Hapgood and Harugari Streets which they maintained for several years. Adrienne took an active interest in the lives of her five sons, serving as a den mother for Pack 18 Cub Scouts. For several years she was a Sales Representative for Avon Products. Adrienne was employed by Athol Schools where she served as a reading tutor for students at Ellen Bigelow, Riverbend, and Sanders Street Schools. She and her husband were avid square and round dancers. They belonged to the Jumptown Twirlers where they served on the executive board, as treasurers and secretaries. While residing in Athol, she and her husband spent many summers at Springbrook Campground in Shelburne, Massachusetts and later wintered in Newport Richey, Florida. Adrienne was an active member of the Christian Science Church. She leaves five sons and four daughters-in law; David & LuAnn, Richard & Chris Ann, and Steven & Kathy of Athol, Brian & Paula of Northfield, and Ronald of Westborough, a daughter-in-law, Kathy of Westborough, previously passed on. She also leaves five grandchildren; Adreanna of Montgomery, Amanda of Athol, Jeremy of Burlington, VT, Philip of Newport, Wales and Sarah of Natick. Also, four great-grandchildren; Alex, Cody, Elizabeth and Mallory. She was predeceased by her husband, a daughter-in-law and ten of her eleven siblings; Benjamin, Bernadette, Betty, Denise, Edward, Germaine, Roland, Rose, William, and Rene. She leaves one brother, Patrick Paquin, and many nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service open to the public will take place on December 15, 2018 at 11am in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd. Orange.
