Agnes A. Penski

ATHOL - Agnes A. (Dargelis) Penski, 91 formerly of 539 Pequiog Ave. died, Thursday, April 26, 2007 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare. She was born in Athol, on June 13, 1915, the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Pauline (Grigalunis) Dargelis. She grew up in Athol and was educated in Athol. She was a communcant of St. Francis of Assisi Church where she was very active in church activities. She enjoyed traveling and loved to cook and bake. She was an avid Boston Red Sox fan and enjoyed spending time with her family. She leaves one daughter, Irene M. Dalterio and her husband John of Osterville, MA; one grandson, John D. "Jay" Dalterio and his wife Susan of Cotuit; one great grandson, Caleb J. Dalterio; three step great granddaughters, Christina Vigneau; Justine Vigneau and Kaitlynn Vigneau; and one great great grandson, Dillon Vigneau; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband of seventy years Sigmond J. Penski who died in 2005; by her brother, Vito Dargelis, and by her sister, Jennie Dargelis. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at 11:00 am in St. Francis Of Assisi Church, 101 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2007 from 9:00 to 10:45 a.m. at the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home 137 Main St., Athol.
