Hubbardston-Alan Meagher, 61, died suddenly at his home on Wednesday, January 18, 2023. He leaves one brother and three sisters, Katherine White and her husband George of Templeton, Steve Meagher of Phillipston, Deb Meagher and her companion Mark Hicks of Gardner, and Jo-Ann Meagher of Gardner; several nieces and nephews, and many cousins.
Alan was born on November 8, 1961, in Gardner a son of the late Fred “Doc” and Catherine (Ryan) Meagher. He graduated from Monty Tech in 1979. He was the owner and operator of Meagher Electric in Hubbardston.
Alan enjoyed hunting, and golfing with his brother and father, cooking and watching documentaries. He enjoyed going to Marshall Tucker concerts, the Boston Red Sox, Star Wars, and Marilyn Monroe. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, January 27, 2023, at 4:00 p.m. in the Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street, Gardner, MA 01440. Calling hours will be from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. before the funeral. His burial will be in the spring in the Rural Glen Cemetery, RT68 Hubbardston, MA.
