ATHOL - Albert J. Boudreau, 94 of 122 Wendell St., Athol, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.
He was born in Athol, on September 17, 1911, the son of the late Alexander and the late Mary (Mallet) Boudreau.
He worked as a young man at B&M Railroad, he went on to work at Paul´s Garage, the Union Twist Drill for seven years, the Orange Shoe Shop for 28 years and the L.S. Starrett Company for three years. He was a bartender at the Franco-American Club for several years.
He was a loving family man who enjoyed fishing. He was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church, a member of the Knights of Columbus and a Life member of the Franco American Club.
He leaves two daughters, Sharon Young and her husband Richard of Famington, NH, Sheila Mallet and her husband Paul of Orange; one son, James A. Boudreau and his wife Martha of Tewksbury, MA; nine grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Amelia (Belsky) Boudreau; by a son, Richard Boudreau, by three sisters and by five brothers.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 7, 2006, at 11:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol.
A calling hour will be held Friday from 9:30 -10:30 a.m. at the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home, 137 Main St., Athol, MA.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to Our Lady Immaculate Church - Building Fund, 192 School St., Athol, MA 01331
