GARDNER - Albert R. LeBlanc, 72 of Gardner, died Sunday, March 27, 2022 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester.
He was born in Gardner on June 1, 1949, the son of the late Raymond A. LeBlanc and the late Marie (Cormier) LeBlanc.
Mr. LeBlanc was a veteran of the Vietnam war, serving in the Army from 1968 to 1970.
Albert grew up in Gardner and was educated in Gardner.
He was employed by S. Bent in Gardner for many years. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, the Gardner V.F.W. and the Eagles.
Albert enjoyed playing Bingo on his tablet, trips to Foxwoods, fishing, spending time with his daughter and her family in Florida and spending time with his grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife of 43 years Sylvia M. (Culver) LeBlanc who passed away in 2013.
He leaves one daughter, Tabitha (LeBlanc) McKelvin of Titusville, FL; three sons, Jimmy Hamel and his wife Brandy of Gardner, Robert E. Hamel and his wife Magen of Gardner, Alexander R. LeBlanc of Titusville, FL; one sister, Ann LeBlanc and her husband Paul of Winchendon; 11 grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one brother, Alfred D. LeBlanc and three sisters, Linda D. Baker, Luann C. Cross and Joan Padula.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 1, 2022 at 11:00 am in the Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial in the Massachusetts Veterans’ Memorial Cemetery in Winchendon will be private.
Calling hours will be held Thursday, March 31, 2022 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
