HUBBARDSTON-Albert Ordway, 84 of Hubbardston Massachusetts peacefully passed away at home with his family by his side on January 24, 2022. He was born in Amesbury, Massachusetts, the son of the late Daniel Emerson Ordway and Caroldean (Rines) Ordway. Albert graduated from Berwick High School and Maine Vocational Technical Institute and was a machinist by trade. He proudly served in the United States Army as a helicopter mechanic during the Korean War. In his younger years, Albert enjoyed hunting, fishing, and camping. He had a gift for woodturning and enjoyed working in his home workshop. He restored a 1790’s farmhouse which became the family home. More recently, he had enjoyed spending time with family at his home on the Suwannee River in Florida. He leaves behind his wife of 54 years Dolores (Cappuccio) Ordway, son Timothy C. Ordway of Old Town, FL; daughter Christine M. Girouard and her husband Kenneth of Hubbardston, MA; Three grandchildren, Lane and Angela Ordway of Bell, FL and Faith Marcinkiewicz of Hubbardston, MA; two great grandsons Luke and Levi Ordway of Bell, FL. He also leaves behind his beloved dog, Buster. He was predeceased by a sister, Janice Dobben. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at Mack Funeral Home, 105 Central Street Gardner, MA 01440 on Monday January 31, 2022, at 9am, followed by interment at 10am at the Veterans’ Cemetery 111 Glenallen Street Winchendon, MA 01475.
