ATHOL - Alberta M. Blanchard, 90 of 343 Beacon Street, Athol, died Thursday, September 29, 2005, in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born on March 28, 1915, the daughter of the late Henry J. and the late Cecile (Mallet) Blanchard. She lived in Athol all of her life. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Immaculate Church. She was a member fo the 25 Year Club of the L. S. Starrett Company, having retired in 1977 after thirty-two years of service. She enjoyed making fudge. She leaves two sisters, Estelle Smith of Leominster, Vivian McDonald of Westboro; three brothers, Norman Blanchard of Cathedral City, CA, Richard Blanchard of Athol, Leslie Blanchard of East Englewood, FL, Raymond Blanchard of Athol; and many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Francis Blanchard who died in 2004. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 6, 2005, at 10:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol. There are no calling hours.
