Alcide Joseph LeBlanc, born on May 31, 1942, in Dieppe, New Brunswick, Canada, was a man of simple pleasures whose life was marked by a profound love for his family, hockey, and his homeland. Alcide, who relocated to Leominster, Massachusetts, brought with him his Canadian charm, and the distinct flair of his Acadian roots. As a machinist at Aero Plastics. He was a beacon of consistency and dedication, qualities that he carried into every facet of his life, from his work to his relationships. Alcide's penchant for small engines was not merely a hobby, but an extension of his personality - intricate, practical, and endlessly fascinating.
Alcide was a devoted patriarch who cherished his role as a father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. His face would light up at the sight of his son Ricky and grandchildren Ryan and Christopher. The arrival of his great-grandchildren, Remington and Rainee, intensified his love and devotion. Alcide's love for his family was rivaled only by his love for the Montreal Canadiens, and many an evening was spent in front of the television, cheering on his favorite team. Despite the distance, Alcide's heart remained in Canada, and he relished any opportunity to visit his birthplace.
Those who remain to treasure his memory include his fiancée, Elizabeth Goguen, his sisters, Nora Daigle, Angela LeBlanc, Anne-Marie Goguen, Diane Alger, and his brother Jean-Paul LeBlanc. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anastase and Anna LeBlanc, and his siblings, Eva Daigle, Jeannie Boudreau, Roger LeBlanc, Lionel LeBlanc, Stella LeBlanc, Norman LeBlanc, and Geraldine LeBlanc.
