ATHOL - Alexander P. Bobrowsky, 91 of Athol, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 in Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol.
He was born in Holyoke, on September 2, 1924, the son of the late Alexander and the late Rosie (Gaurilla) Bobrowsky.
He was raised by Ed and Mary Baker of Orange where he grew up and lived most of his life, graduating from Orange High School in 1943. He worked at the Minute Tapioca Company in Orange, Peterson's Dairy, Millers Falls Tool Company, N.D. Cass Company.
He enjoyed gardening, especially raising tomatoes and corn and he loved to travel. He went to the World's Fair and to Florida.
He leaves two nephews: Steven Richards and Alexander Richards; one niece: Rosanne Hoyt. He was predeceased by his two sisters: Olga Richards and Dolores Monkton; and his nephew Gary Richards.
Calling hours will be held Tuesday from 9 :00 am- 10:30 am in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd. Orange.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 11:00 am in the Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. A reception will follow in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Community Room, Orange. Burial will be held at 2:00 pm in St. Ann's Cemetery, Turners Falls, MA.
