Alfred H. Dowling

LEOMINSTER - Alfred H. Dowling, 84 of 45 Sage Rd., Leominster, died Friday, June 3, 2016 in the Health Alliance Leominster Hospital. He was born in New Brunswick, Canada on April 9, 1932, the son of the late Adelin and the late Lea (Collette) Savoie. He was born and raised in Canada and came to the United States at the age of 25. He was an avid boxing fan, loved cars and the Montreal Canadians. He owned and operated Al & Son Concrete Floors and Al's Buff and Wax. He leaves his wife of 57 years: Barbara A. (Frost) Dowling; three sons: Keith Dowling and his wife Robin of Leominster, Vaughn Dowling and his wife Cathlene of Leominster, Dion Dowling and his wife Natasha of Leominster; six grandchildren: Tyler Dowling, Jessica Dowling, Sherra Dowling, Keith Dowling Jr., Tiara Dowling, Jada Dowling; five siblings: Simone Gallant, Claudette Maillet, Rose Marie Leger, Fernande Fournier, Donald Savoie; and a very special sister-in-law, Dolly Frost. He was predeceased by a daughter, Tina Marie Dowling and by a brother Claude Savoie. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, June 18, from 12:00 to 3:00 P.M. at Monoosnock Country Club, 40 Monoosnock Ave., Leominster. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in his memory to American Cancer Society's, New England Division Office, 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
