Alice M. Ostrowski

BALDWINVILLE - Alice M. (Evashousky) Ostrowski, 91 of Baldwinville, died Thursday, June 3, 2021 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner. She was born in Athol, on February 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Anthony Evashousky and the late Blanche (Bruzgulis) Evashousky. Alice graduated from Gardner High School in 1948. She worked at Florence Stove Company as a machine operator; she went on to work at Winchendon Fashions, Inc. as a receptionist and several years as an office aide at Simplex. Alice was a member of St. Martin Church in Otter River and a member and past Chaplain of the Baldwinville American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed going to flea markets, yard sales and auctions. Alice and her husband Edward initiated the St. Martins Annual Yard Sale in 1984, which continued for many years. She leaves two daughters, Nancy M. Abare and her husband Gregory of Baldwinville, Mary L. Higgins and her husband Douglas of Holyoke; one son, Michael E. Ostrowski and his wife Dee of Wills Point, TX; two grandchildren, Heather Ostrowski of Japan, Michael Ostrowski, Jr. of Texas and two great grandchildren, Brianne Daniels and Noah Daniels. She was predeceased by her husband, Edward P. Ostrowski and by a granddaughter, Marie Daniels. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 11:00 am St. Martin Church, 247 State Road, Otter River. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Winchendon. A calling hour will be held Tuesday, June 8, 2021 from 9:15 - 10:15 a.m. at the Mack Family Funeral Home 105 Central St., Gardner.
