GARDNER – Aline A. (Arsenault) Rafalski, 93, of Gardner, Mass., passed away on May 6, 2020 at Gardner Rehabilitation and Nursing Center. Aline was born in Fitchburg, Mass. on May 24, 1926, the daughter of the late Raymond and Rose (LeBlanc) Arsenault. She was predeceased by her two brothers and three sisters: Robert, George, Lily, Florence, and Lorraine.
Aline was the devoted wife of the late Raymond J. Rafalski and will be deeply missed by her three children: Her eldest son Richard Goguen and his wife Lynda of Fountain Valley, California, her daughter Rachel Stephano and her fiancé Tom Roberts, and her son David Rafalski and his wife Maria Panagiotes-Rafalski, all of Gardner; her five grandchildren, Jimmy and Michelle Goguen, Hope Hietala, Joshua and Adam Stephano; and three great-grandchildren.
A life-long Gardner resident, Aline attended Holy Rosary School and worked in many of the local factories throughout her life including Saquoit Paper Company and Simplex Time Recorder. She retired from the City of Gardner as a housekeeper at the Greenwood Swimming Pool in 1988. Aline was always known to be a dedicated employee and took great pride in her work.
Aline cherished time with her family. She found delight in the accomplishments of her children and grandchildren and enjoyed spending time attending their sporting events and plays when they were younger. Those that knew her knew she loved nothing more than a home cooked dish of pasta and had an affinity for everything sweet.
A celebration of life will be announced at a later date.
