Allan A. Guimond, 59, of 187 Daniel Shays Highway, Orange, a longtime local business owner, died Monday evening in UMASS Memorial Healthcare, University Campus from complications of coronary artery disease.
He was born in Boston February 6, 1944, son of Peter and Pearl (Newton) Guimond and lived here all of his life. For eighteen years, he was owner of Al's Quick Lube and Trinity Auto Sales, both in Orange. Mr. Guimond was a Harley Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding Harley's.
He is survived by his wife of forty-one years, Marjorie (Hurd) Guimond; three sons, Allan L. Guimond, Mark T. Guimond and Michael A. Guimond, all of Athol; two daughters, Shelley L. Haley of Hubbardston and Tammy L. Guimond of Athol; one brother, David Guimond of Wyoming; one sister, Brenda Bashaw of Clinton; four grandchildren, nephews and nieces. A brother, Bruce Guimond of Cambridge died many years ago.
It being his request, funeral services are private and at the convenience of the family. There are no visiting hours.
