Amanda L. Putney Royalston – Amanda L. Putney, 19, of 185 North Fitzwilliam Road, died Friday, December 7, 2012 in New Salem from injuries resulting from an automobile accident.      Amanda was born in Gardner, Massachusetts, December 1, 1993, the daughter of James M. and Brenda L. (Divoll) Putney.  She lived in Royalston all of her life, graduating from Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School in 2012 and was currently a student at Mt. Wachusett Community College in Gardner, studying to be a veterinary assistant.      Amanda has always had a love for animals, especially horses.   She participated in many area horse shows through the 4-H Club, Crimson Acres, and Mass Quarter Horse Association.  She also trained horses, and her pride and joy was her horse Joey – the two of them were amazing to watch together, they had an amazing bond and love for each other.  She was a former member of the Farm Friends 4-H Club, and the Horse of a Different Color 4-H Club¸ and participated in the Mounted Color Guard of the Junior R.O.T.C. at Montachusett Regional Vocational Technical School for two years.   Amanda helped with the family business, worked at the Red Apple Farm during high school and was currently employed at Dexter Innovative Solutions in Orange.      Besides her parents she leaves three sisters: Jessica A. Denesowicz of Weisbaden, Germany,  Emily R. Putney, and her twin sister Amy M. Putney, both of Royalston; her maternal grandparents, John and Helen Divoll and paternal grandparents, David and Shirley (Serre) Putney, all of Royalston.  She also leaves her boyfriend, Brian Provonsil of Baldwinville and many aunts and uncles, including Sally and Eddie Wheeler of Athol, Karen and Eugene Kolimaga of Royalston, Becky LaBelle and Dan Valliere of Orange, Lynn Divoll and Thomas LeBoeuf of Royalston, Randy and Debi Divoll of Orange, Mary and Bill Ward of Hardwick, Craig Divoll of Minneola, KS, Joann and Edward St. John of Royalston, many great aunts and uncles, many cousins and her former brother-in-law, Matthew Denesowicz.  She loved them all, along with the countless number of incredible friends that she made in her much too short life.      Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol with the Rev. Mark D. Bariloni, pastor of the Athol-Orange Baptist Church officiating.   Burial will follow at Jonas Alliene Cemetery in Royalston and calling hours will be held Tuesday, December 11th from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions in Amanda’s name be made to the Mass Quarter Horse Youth Association, C/O Marge Tanner, 236 Battle St., Webster, NH 03303 or the Regional 4-H Horse Show, C/O Patricia Ames, 279 Wheeler Ave., Orange, MA 01364.
