LEOMINSTER- Amelia L. (Petrucci) Garneau, 89, of Leominster, died Saturday, May 20, in her home, after a short illness.
She was born January 4, 1928, in Leominster, daughter of the late Pasquale and Luigina (DiLuzio) Petrucci. Mrs. Garneau worked as a waitress at several local coffee shops including Onyx Coffee Shop for 10 years. Precious to that, she worked at Pete's Coffee Shop and Babe's Coffee Shop.
Family was the most important thing to her. She adored her great grandsons, Ethan and Aiden. It brought great joy to her to entertain her family, especially at the holidays.
Her husband of 46 years, William L. Garneau, died August 7, 1994. She was also predeceased by four brothers, Silvio, Allen, Mario, and Pasquale Petrucci, and five sisters, Nina DiMarzio, Beatrice Manzella, Mary Russo, Stella Nacke, and Marcia Hedge.
She leaves two sons, Rene S. Garneau and his wife, Linda of Leominster, and William L. Garneau and his husband, Bernie Bousquet of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; one granddaughter, Trisha Paquette and her husband, Jason of Leominster; two great grandsons, Ethan and Aiden Carr, both of Leominster.
Funeral services were private under the direction of Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
