Amelia (Risatti) Karpowich, 86, of 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, died Thursday in Athol Memorial Hospital in Athol after a brief illness.
She was born in Orange June 3, 1917, the daughter italian immigrants Atillio and Benevenuta (Colo) Risatti and lived here all of her life. Mrs. Karpowich was a communicant of Our Lady Immaculate Church in Athol and she enjoyed listening to music, watching television and getting involved with community affairs and interests.
She is survived by two sons, Joseph Wilson of Attleboro and Michael Wilson of Uxbridge, four daughters, Agnes Nygard of Templeton, Marie Nisil of Whitinsville, Mary Carbone of Linwood and Nancy Barron of Woonsocket, RI, two sisters, Helen Beasley of Athol and Viola Popke of Wisconsin and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews and nieces.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from J. EDWARD MURPHY FUNERAL HOME, 137 Main St., Athol Tuesday, January 20 followed by a Funeral Mass in Our Lady Immaculate Church, Athol at 11AM. Burial will be in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol.
