Fitchburg- Anastacio A. “Tony”, 70, of Fitchburg, passed away in Health Alliance Hospital Leominster on Saturday June 21, 2013 following a short illness. He was born on February 22, 1943 in Isabella Puerto Rico.
Tony worked for many years as a bus driver for the former Laidlaw Bus Co. in Fitchburg. He was a great example to his family as loving, caring and was known to be a great cook as well as being very funny. He was a hardworking husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
Tony leaves behind his wife of 43 years, Luz (Cotto) Torres, one son; Felix Torres , eight daughters; Maria Rodriguez, Aida Rivera, Norma Ocasio, Carmen Ocasio, Yolanda Ocasio, Madeline Ocasio, and Maria Rodriguez Toledo.
He was predeceased by one son, Victor M. Ocasio in 2011.
Calling hours will be held from the Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St. Leominster, MA on Thursday June 27, 2013 from 6:00pm – 10:00 pm and on Friday from 9:00am-10:00am with a graveside service following in Evergreen Cemetery Main St. Leominster.
