PETERSHAM - Andrew S. Castonguay, 20, of 61 Briggs Road West, Petersham, died Wednesday, February 13, 2008 in Athol Memorial Hospital, as a result of injuries sustained while helping another motorist on Route 2.
He was born in Worcester, on April 23, 1987, the son of James P. and Marcia A. (Brown) Castonguay. Andrew grew up in Petersham, and graduated from Ralph C. Mahar Regional High School in 2005. He worked as a cook at Friendly's Restaurant in Greenfield.
Besides his parents, he also leaves two sisters, Sara Castonguay and Heather Castonguay, both of Petersham; his girlfriend, Kristina Baker of Royalston; his maternal grandparents, Stuart and Joann (Gregory) Brown of North Brookfield; six aunts, Holly Messier of East Brookfield, Cindy Cunningham of Barre, Suzanne Castonguay of Quebec, Canada, Janet Castriotta of Barre, Christina O'Neil of Barre, Toni Walker of Barre; seven uncles, Michael Brown of North Brookfield, George Castonguay of New Braintree, Thomas Castonguay of Worcester; George O'Neil of Barre, William Walker of Barre, Mark Castriotta of Barre, David Messier of East Brookfield; also many cousins and friends.
A memorial service will be held Monday, February 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol.
