ORANGE - Anibal H. Colon, 65 of 176 Brookside Road, Orange, died Thursday, December 19, 2013 at home.
He was born in Puerto Rico, on April 6, 1948, the son of the late Rafael and the late Rosaura (Santiago) Colon.
Anibal grew up in Puerto Rico and moved to New York when he was 20. He has resided in the Orange area for the past 30 years.
He formerly worked for Mullaney Construction of Leominster and he also worked for several other local construction companies. He enjoyed bowling and bowled in a league at Lucky Lanes. He played Sunday morning softball in Athol and Orange for many years and he enjoyed fishing.
He leaves, four daughters: Alejandra Colon-Feliciano of Puerto Rico, Elizabeth Mauras of Freeport, NY, Jessica Colon of Orange, Amanda Colon of Orange; four sons: Anibal Colon, Jr. of Puerto Rico, Christopher Colon of Athol, Alex Colon of Orange, Andrew Colon of Orange; two sisters: Luz Maria Colon-Hernandez of Puerto Rico, Flora Colon-Hernandez of Puerto Rico; three brothers: Julio Colon of Puerto Rico, Rafeal Colon of Puerto Rico, Cesar Colon of Puerto Rico; 13 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 28, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Fiske-Murphy & Mack Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Road, Orange. Burial will follow in South Cemetery.
Calling Hours will be held Friday, December 27, 2013 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home, 110 New Athol Rd., Orange, MA.
