LEOMINSTER.....Anita (Lison) Allain 84 of formally of 171 Mechanic St. Leominster, died Monday evening May 11, 2009 in Wachusett Manor Nursing Home Gardner after an illness.
She was born June 30, 1924 in Gardner MA the daughter of the late Fred Lison and Helen (Cormier) Lison and lived in Gardner before moving to Leominster in 1957.
She leaves two daughters, Nora Arsenault and her husband Gilbert of Leominster and Annette Plourde and her husband Michael of Atkinson New Hampshire; one Brother, Leo Lison of Fitchburg; two sisters, Helen Wise and Eva Ares both of Gardner; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren and nephews and nieces.
Mrs. Allain worked for Independent Lock Co. in Fitchburg MA .for many years later going to work for Foster Grant Co. where she retired.
She was a member of St Cecilia's Church in Leominster and Leominster Senior Center.
She enjoyed playing cards and Bingo and was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots Fan.
The funeral will be held on Thursday May 14, 2009 from Simard Funeral Home 14 Walker St.Leominster with an 11am Mass of Christian Burial in St Cecilia's Church 180 Mechanic St. Leominster. Burial will follow in St Cecilia's Cemetery Leominster.
Calling hours in the funeral home are Wednesday evening May 13, 2009 are from 6pm-8pm.
In lieu of flowers donations in her memory can be made to the charity of ones choice and may be left at the funeral home.
