Anita M. Bassett

ATHOL - Anita M. (Miarecki) Bassett, 90, of 297 Moore Hill Road, Athol died Tuesday, January 11, 2011, in Athol Memorial Hospital. She was born October 26, 1920, in Gilbertville Mass. to Stanley and Karoline Miarecki. She leaves her son Stanley F. Miarecki of Athol with whom she resided; her daughter MaryAnn Sioui of Hubbardston:two stepsons,Theodore Bassett of Petersham and Bernard Bassett ,13 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren. A brother John Miarecki of Gilbertville and several neices and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edward L. Bassett who died in 1991. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 14, 2011, at 12 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main St., Athol. Burial will follow in Ledgeville Cemetery, Petersham. A calling hour will be held, Friday, January 14, 2011, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the funeral home.
