Anita C. Link

ATHOL - Anita C. (Wagner) Link, 76, of 251 Pequoig Ave., Athol, died Tuesday, September 8, 2009 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center - University Campus, Worcester. She was born in New Rochelle, NY, on February 28, 1933, the daughter of the late Joseph I. Wagner, Sr. and the late Marie E. Gangolf. She was raised in New York and attended the Saint Augustine Elementary School in Larchmont, New York. She graduated from Mamaroneck High School in New York with the class of 1952, and was a member of the Saints John and Paul Choir. Mrs. Link worked as a secretary for several attorneys in New Rochelle, New York. She was a resident of New Rochelle, Larchmont, and Mamaroneck, New York for over fifty years. Mrs. Link moved to Massachusetts in the 1980s and has resided in Athol for over twenty-five years. She had a passion for singing and loved taking care of animals. She leaves her son, Joseph N. Link and his companion Millie A. Couto of Attleboro, MA; her daughter, Donna M. Tipa and her husband Michael J. of Carrollton, GA; her brother, Joseph I. Wagner, Jr. and his wife Susan of Seekonk, MA; her sister, Helene J. Kolze of Pine Bush, NY; four grandchildren, Nicholas J. Link of New Rochelle, NY, Tara M. Kistler of Albany, NY, Jennifer M. Sanfratello of New Rochelle, NY, Michael A. Tipa of Carrollton, GA; and her dear friend, Marie Tatro of Athol. She was predeceased by her husband, Martin Arthur Link, on December 26, 1968. Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial following in Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol, will be for immediate family only. Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 12, 2009 from 12 - 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
