ATHOL - Ann Shirley (Fraser) Brown, 75, of 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, died Sunday, February 6, 2011 in the Quabbin Valley Healthcare, Athol. She was born in Boston on April 11, 1935, the daughter of the late Wilfred and the late Marie C. (Lakeman) Fraser. Ann was raised and educated in Boston. She was a dancer with the New York City Ballet out of high school. Ann then attended Simmons College where she studied speech therapy. She then relocated to Shirely to raise her children while she worked in customer service throughout her life. She later resided in Fitchburg before moving to Athol recently when her health declined. She was a member of the Twin City Baptist Church in Leominster. She was very creative and enjoyed crocheting and painting. Ann also enjoyed bowling, dancing and roller skating. She took great pride in her sons and was a very devoted and caring mother. She leaves five sons, Gary J. Inniss and his wife Luetta (Knox) of Fayetteville, NC, Sean E. Inniss and his wife Irene (Robertson) of Athol, Tyrone Inniss of Manhattan, NY, Phillip W. Inniss of Ashland, Alexander B. Inniss and his wife Cindy (Westover) of Shirley; one brother, Wilfred "Wolfie" Fraser and his wife Sandra of Derwood, MD; two nephews and one neice; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; her former husband, Charles Inniss of Boston and husband James "Jim" Brown of Shirley. In addition to her parents, Ann was also predeceased by her daughter, Elizabeth Inniss, her stepmother, Louise Stokes-Fraser, and by her great-grandson Justin Magario. A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2011 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the family's home, 112 Beach Street, Athol. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Quabbin Valley Healthcare's Dana Unit, 821 Daniel Shays Highway, Athol, MA 01331. $(document).ready(function(){ });
