Ann (Sargood) Donegan

April 10, 1911 — February 22, 2012

WESTMORELAND, NH - Ann (Sargood) Donegan, 100, formerly of Gardner, Massachusetts died on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Maplewood Nursing Home, Westmoreland, NH.     Ann was born in Gardner on April 10, 1911, the daughter of John and Anne (Kannepeska) Sargood. She resided in Gardner nearly all of her life and graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1930.   Upon her graduation, she earned her Associate's Degree in Business from Bryant College in 1932.      Mrs. Donegan worked for several local companies over the years including the former Goodnow Pearson, Custom and Modern Upholstery and Heywood Wakefield. Ann co-owned and operated Candlelight Café in Templeton for many years. She was a member of the Gardner Golden Age Club and the Lithuanian Outing Club.     She leaves three sons, Robert Donegan and his wife Marilyn of Conway, SC, Dennis Donegan and his wife Joan of Keene, NH, Neil Donegan and his wife June of Keene, NH; five grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.   She was predeceased by her husband, Patrick “Packy” Donegan on November 22, 1989.   Funeral services will be held Monday, February 27, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant Street, Gardner. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery in Gardner.     A calling hour will be held at the funeral home Monday, February 27, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.     In lieu of flowers the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to the Maplewood Nursing Home’s Activity Fund, 201 River Road, Westmoreland, NH 03467 or to a charity of one's choice. $(document).ready(function(){ });
