Gardner- Ann B. LeBlanc, 82, passed away Friday, October 5th in Heywood Hospital after a brief illness with her family by her side.
She was born in Gardner on May 8,1936 daughter to the late Ivan and Muriel (Robbins) Johnson . Ann attended. Hubbardston and Gardner schools, graduating with the class of 1954. The following year, she married the love of her life, Ernest E. LeBlanc in June 1955, married for 45 years, before his untimely death in 2003.
Ann was employed by Rich's Department Store in Gardner for more than 20 years as the department manager in lady's wardrobe.
She enjoyed knitting, was an avid reader, puzzles, and a game of Scrabble. She spent time tending to her vegetable and flower gardens. She traveled with her husband, going on cruises to Alaska and the Panama Canal. Ann loved spending time with her family, and especially enjoyed the holiday season with them. She had a special place in her heart for her two companions, her dog Trixie and cat, Babe.
Ann is survived by her five children, two daughters, Laura Beauregard, and her husband David of Gardner; Sarah Parks,and her husband, Michiel, of Torrington, CT. ; and three sons, Ernest Jr. of Gardner; James of Hubbardston; and David & his wife Debbie, of Templeton.
She leaves her seven grandchildren, Christina, Megan, Nicholas, Zachary, Dayna, Marcus, and Marisa. Three great grandchildren; Lily, Sebastian, and Austin.
Also, her sister, Jean Murray.
Besides her late husband, she is predeceased by her brother; Ivan Johnson, and four sisters, Bernice Babineau, Edna Miller, Edith Erickson, and Joan Halfery.
Ann was predeceased by her daughter in law, Maryann; wife of Ernest Jr.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, Oct 10, at 11:00 am at the Mack Family Funeral Home, 105 Central St. A calling hour will be held prior in the funeral home from 10 -11.
Burial will follow in Wildwood Cemetery.
