Anna T. Hill

TEMPLETON - Anna T. (Czajkowski) Hill, 92, of 3 Grandview Terrace, Templeton, died Thursday, May 20, 2010 at her home. She was born in Gardner on June 13, 1917, the daughter of the late John and Valeria (Jwaszewski) Czajkowski. Mrs. Hill was raised and educated in Gardner and graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1935. She moved to Templeton sixty-five years ago, upon her marriage to Leo L. Hill in 1945. Mrs. Hill worked as a bookkeeper for the former L. J. Inc. Garage in Templeton for twenty years and worked in the office at the former Heywood Wakefield in Gardner for several years. She was a homemaker for most of her life and cared for her children. Mrs. Hill was a former member of the Templeton Golden Agers and was a communicant of Holy Cross Church in Templeton. Anna enjoyed listening to music, polka dancing, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. She leaves her son, Eric J. Hill and his wife Cheryl Ann Nygard of Templeton; her sister, Caroline Jeleniewski of Templeton; her daughter in-law, Beverly Hill of Templeton; two grandchildren, Eric J. Hill and Andrew C. Hill of Templeton; three step grandchildren, John M. Nygard of Templeton, Susan Czajkowski and Sandy Czajkowski; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Leo L. Hill, who died in 1991; by her son, Leo L. Hill, Jr. who died in 2001; by her three brothers, Alphonse Czajkowski, Edward Czajkowski, John Czajkowski; and by her sister, Stella Berkiel. Funeral services will be held Monday, May 24, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Poliks Funeral Home, 431 Pleasant St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner.
