Anne Frances (Therrien) Newton

Anne Newton Athol - Anne Frances (Therrien) Newton, 63 of South St., Athol M, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, April 17, 2015 with her daughters by her side at UMASS Hospital in Worcester. Anne was born on September 3,1951 in Bronx N.Y. She was the daughter of the late Leonard Therrien of San Diego, CA and Flora (Meuse) Therrien of Athol, MA. At a very young age she and her family moved to Athol where she lived most of her life. Anne was a stay at home mother who raised four children on her own. She was a dog lover and had several throughout her life. She was a free spirit with many friends who always lived life to the fullest. She leaves her son David C. Newton, 47, of FL, three daughters, Alysia Pfeifle ,45, of Gardner, MA, Louann Newton, 41, of Athol, MA, and Christi Newton, 38, of Greenfield, MA. She also leaves 11 grandsons, Rusty Richard, Ryan Richard, Jacob Bezio, Alex Bezio, Daniel Pfeifle, Logan Sals, Gabriel Sals, Tommy Newton, Jesse Newton, Shon Newton and Nicholas Newton and one granddaughter, Brittany Bezio, four great- grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Ernest McClean of Athol, MA and sister, Catherine Nadeau of Orange, MA. Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 2,2015 at 10:00 A.M. at Silver Lake Cemetery with the           Pastor Joe McGarry of Faith Lutheran Church of Gardner officiating. A celebration of life will follow at  11:30am at the Orange American Legion, 40 Daniel Shays Highway, Orange, MA. Higgins-O'Connor  Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol is directing arrangements.
