Annie Marcoux, passed away on March 20, 2025, just shy of her 89th birthday.
Born in, France, on March 23, 1936, Annie moved to Massachusetts, in 1964, where she would live the majority of her life. It was in Leominster where Annie would make her mark as a beloved teacher at both Leominster High School and Julie Country Day School.
Her commitment to education was fueled by her passion for helping others and her belief in the power of learning. Annie was a woman of many talents and hobbies, with a particular fondness for knitting and sewing. She was a member of the knitting group at the Senior Center and was an member of St. Cecilia’s Church in Leominster.
Annie was known for her generous spirit, often gifting her beautiful handmade creations to family and friends. Despite her many commitments, Annie always made time for those she loved, demonstrating a dedication and love that knew no bounds.
Annie was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert Marcoux, and her step-son, Ray. She leaves behind a rich legacy embodied by her surviving family members: her daughter, Marie Benedetti; daughter Francoise Price and her son, Daniel Gray; and her step-children, Russell, Sandra, Peggy, James, and Robert; as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Her love and light will continue to shine through them and through the many lives she touched during her time with us.
Calling Hours will be held on Tuesday, March 25, 2025 from 10-11 am at Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster, MA with a Funeral Service to follow. Burial will be private.
