E. TEMPLETON - Antena (Vaitekunas) Kulczyk, 84 of 9 Winter St., E. Templeton, died Sunday, July 8, 2007, in the Baldwinville Nursing Home.
She was born in Athol, on January 2, 1923, the daughter of the late Anthony and the late Morte (Trebe) Vaitekunas.
She grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School.
Mrs. Kulczyk worked at the former Goodnow Pearsons for over thirty years.
She was a founding member of Holy Cross Church in East Templeton. She was active in the church sodality and was past president of the sodality. She was active in the East Tempeton PTA and was a member of the Tri-City Sewing Club. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. She loved to bake and share goodies with family and friends.
She leaves three daughters, Patricia Herman and her husband David of Oxnard, CA, Lt. Col. US Army Retired Margaret Kulczyk of Novato, CA; Bernice (Palmer) Molinari of Medway, MA; two grandchildren, Joel Herman and his wife Shannon of Oxnard, CA, Jennifer Ferrera and her husband Andrei of San Francisco, CA and two great grandchildren, Dakota Herman and Hunter Herman both of Oxnard, CA.
She was predeceased by her husband 48 years, John W. Kulczyk who died in 1994.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 13, 2007 at 11:00 am in Holy Cross Church, 26 Lake Ave., East Templeton. Burial will follow in Gethsemane Cemetery, Athol.
Calling hours will be held Friday, July 13, 2007, from 9:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Poliks Funeral Home 431 Pleasant St., Gardner.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the Baldwinville Nursing Home PO Box 24, Baldwinville, MA 01436. The family would like to thank the nursing home for the wonderful and lovely care given to Antena.
