Arkadiusz Surlej

Arkadiusz Surlej, 55, died at Athol Memorial Hospital Friday, October 15, 2021 after being strikend ill. He leaves his wife, Ewa (Malinowska) Surlej; two daughters, Marlena Surlej and Magdalena Surlej; one grandson Cason Calderwood all of Athol and many cousins in Poland. He was born on December 26, 1965 in Tomaszow Mazowiecki, Poland. He worked as an Independent Contractor in the transportation industry. He enjoyed fishing, sailing, boating, kayaking, being at the ocean, gardening and working outdoors. He loved to relax in the sun and truly loved the summer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, October 20, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School Street, Athol, MA 01331 Burial will be private at the Silver Lake Cemetery, Athol, MA Calling hours will be held on Tuesday October 19, 2021 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. at the Fiske-Murphy Mack Funeral Home, 105 New Athol Road, Orange, MA 01368.
