Arthur Edward Shaw

Arthur Edward Shaw, son of Charles Newton and Lalna (Haimila) Shaw, died peacefully on June 1, 2024, at the age of 83.

He was the beloved husband of Dawn for 58 years.  He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Nathan Shaw and Angela Tucker; his daughters, Emily Ouellet and husband Claude of Gardner MA, and Sara Albert and her husband James of Tennessee; and by grandchildren, Gina Albert and James C. Albert Jr.  He leaves his sisters, Lois Lundsted and Florence Ladeau and her husband Jack; and brother, Charles Edward Shaw and his wife Karen; and several nieces and nephews.

Arthur attended Fitchburg High School and graduated from Murdock High School in Winchendon, MA; He served in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1963 after which he worked for Ruel Electric Co. in Fitchburg MA. In 2010 he retired from Kingsbury Machine and Tool Corp in Keene NH after 33 years of service as an electrician,

Arthur loved his home and enjoyed tending to the yard, raspberry bushes, and vegetable garden. He also enjoyed playing pool on his pool table with family and friends, working on Jigsaw puzzles, reading, and feeding the birds. He enjoyed tent camping with the family at New England campsites for many years. In later years he and Dawn occasionally went to the mountains or ocean for an overnight getaway. After his retirement, they vacationed at Acadia National Park, Campobello Island, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland. Their 50th anniversary was celebrated with a trip to St, John U.S. Virgin Island,

Family and friends have been blessed to have known Arthur. He will be greatly missed. A private family Service of Remembrance Is being planned.
