Aurore (Lafond) Arsenualt

Leominster-Aurore H. (Lafond) Arsenault, a beloved 89 year old mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at UMass Memorial Healthalliance Leominster after having lost her fight to pneumonia. She was the wife of the late Francis J. Arsenault who died on October 5, 2018. They were married on November 12, 1951 in St. Paul, New Brunswick, Canada. Aurore was born on November 1, 1931 in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, a daughter of the late Gerard and Elisabeth (Duguay) Lafond. She leaves four children, Paul J. Arsenault, Louise M. (Arsenault) Bray, Andre J. Arsenault and Allen J. Arsenault all of Leominster. They provided her with five grandchildren, Cybil (Arsenault) Landry, Justin Arseanault, Michael Bray, Julia (Bray) Chhom, and Sarah Arsenault. They provided her with seven wonderful great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by a son Michael J. Arsenault and her siblings. Aurore and her family immigrated to the US in 1957; in 1970 she proudly received her United States Citizenship. She worked at Leominster Hospital for around 10 years during the 70's and 80's. She loved to paint and one of her pictures proudly hangs on the wall at UMsas Memorial HealthAlliance Leominster still today. She loved to play games as long as she won. She loved her family very much and she will be greatly missed. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, September 16, 2021 at 10:30a.m. in St. Cecilia's Church, 180 Mechanic Street, Leominster, MA 01453 Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery, Leominster, MA There are no calling hours.
