GARDNER- Barbara T. Marshall, age 86, of Gardner died Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Barbara was born October 16, 1930 in Boston. She is the daughter of the late John and the late Mary (Hack) Sheppard. She grew up in West Roxbury attending schools there and graduated from Roslindale High School. In 1949 she married Frederick L. Marshall and in 1953 they moved to Dedham to raise their family. She was employed by the Town of Dedham as assistant to the town clerk and was a member of the Dedham VFW Ladies Auxiliary Gold Circle. Upon retirement she and Fred moved to Florida and were active in the Colony Cove Community. She enjoyed dancing with her husband and was very involved in the Line Dancing and Hobby Clubs at the Cove. Family was extremely important to her. She was always up for a card game with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren, or sharing a family meal together. Five years ago she moved to Gardner where she volunteered twice a week at Heywood Hospital. She is survived by one daughter: Deborah Wolloff and her husband Lee of Gardner, and three sons: Fred Marshall and his wife Maureen of Franklin, Dennis Marshall of NV, and Kevin Marshall and his wife Marie, of Dedham; She also has twelve grandchildren; Amanda Parlier, and Brittany Black both of NC, Michael Boynton of Bellingham, Susan Lewis of Franklin, Joshua Wolloff of Wrentham, Gabriel Wolloff of Hubbardston, Kelly Gentry, and Lisa Brick both of Santa Clara, Michelle Murphy of Malden, Kimberly Marshall, Kevin Marshall, Jr., and Christopher Marshall all of Dedham; and eleven great grandchildren, Elaina, Emelia, Anna, Paige, Ashley, Makayla, Ian, Madison, Charlie, Zachary and Casey. She is predeceased by her husband Frederick L. Marshall, Sr., her brother, John, and sisters, Margaret, Mary, Josephine, and Rita. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 am on Saturday, April 1 at St. Mary's Church, 420 High Street, Dedham. Burial will be private at a later date.
