Barbara A. Richard

Barbara (Makosiej) Richard, 73, of Port Orange, FL, died Wednesday, December 31, 2008 in the Volusia County Hospice Flagler Center, Port Orange, FL. She was born in Clinton, on April 24, 1935, the daughter of the late George and the late Mary (Poirier) Makosiej. Mrs. Richard grew up in Clinton and graduated from Clinton High School. She worked at the Lakso Company in Leominster as well as the former Jayron Co. She enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her friends and family. She leaves her husband of 53 years: Ramon J. Richard; one daughter: Cindy Gerrry of Ashburnham; one brother: George Makosiej who resides in South Carolina, four grandchildren, Michael Schuster, Justin Mason, Ashlee Mason and Kristina Gerry and two great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her daughter Donna Mason who died in 2004. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 9, 2009 at 10am in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster. Burial will follow in St. Cecilia's Cemetery. A calling hour will be held Thursday, January 8, 2009, from 7 - 8pm at the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker St., Leominster.
