Barbara A (Watson) Desharnais

  Barbara Ann Desharnais, age 69 of Leominster, passed away on Saturday, March 30, 2013 at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center in Worcester following a short and sudden illness. Barbara was born in Brunswick, Maine to the late Lawrence and Madeline (Sinclair) Watson on May 17, 1943. Barbara attended schools in Harpswell, Maine before moving on to Leominster, Massachusetts where she worked for the E.B. Kingman Company and Basque Plastics Company. Family and friends were Barbara’s love and joy. Her time was spent making the lives around her better through her laughter, smiles and endless recipes. She also had a true love of animals, especially her late miniature greyhound, Dusty. Barbara leaves behind three sons; Edwin Scriven and wife Diane of Las Vegas, NV, Christopher Desharnais and girlfriend Jennifer Reid of Leominster, MA, and Alfred Desharnais and wife Robin of Groton, MA¸ one daughter, Colleen Bellio and husband Steven of Leominster, MA, one stepson Richard Leblanc of Leominster, MA , two step daughters, Shelly Colecchi of Leominster, MA, and Lauren LeBlanc of New Hampshire, seven grandchildren, Casandra and Nathan Desharnais, Robert and Tyler Bellio of Leominster, MA, Levi, Lyle and Liam Scriven of Las Vegas, NV, and several nieces and nephews. Barbara also leaves behind special friends, Daniel Bouchard and Pauline Porell of Leominster, MA, as well as many others. Barbara was predeceased by her husband Henry Desharnais, special friend Rudy Porell, and three brothers Ralph, William and Richard Watson. Barbara requested a private funeral with family and close friends. The family wishes to thank all of those who loved and cared for Barbara over the years. She loved all of you.
