ATHOL - Beatrice C. (Heredeen) (Wilkey) Nawotny, 79 of 192 Green St., Athol, died Sunday, June 17, 2007 at home.
She was born in Thompson, CT, on August 31, 1927, the daughter of the late Charles and the late Rose A. (Wyman) Heredeen.
Beatrice resided in Connecticut for many years and has been a resident of Athol for 70 years. She was a member of St. John´s Episcopal Church in Athol.
She leaves her husband, Michael J. Nawotny; one daughter, Donna Guyer of Athol; a step daughter, Anne Nawotny of Athol; two sisters, Viola Fucile of Gardner, Irene Moore of Orange; one brother, Frankie Heredeen of Florida; three grandchildren, Lisa Guyer of Orange, Keith Guyer of Athol, John Guyer of Athol and fourteen great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by six sisters, Pearl Jepson, Alice Gibbs, Evette Thompson, Shirley Gaulzetti, Bertha Hardy, Leona Cawell and by two brothers, Raymond Heredeen and William Heredeen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, June 21, 2007, at 10 a.m. in St. John´s Episcopal Church, 15 Park Avenue, Athol. Burial will follow in Silver Lake Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Wednesday, June 20, 2007, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the J. Edward Murphy Funeral Home 137 Main St., Athol.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Gardner Visiting Nursing Association, 34 Pearly Lane, Gardner, MA 01440.
