GARDNER - Bernard L. DiPasquale (Bernie), 79, of Gardner, was called Home to the Lord; Thursday, March 31, 2022 after a battle with heart disease.
He was born in Fitchburg, MA on April 29, 1942, the son of the late Alfred and Elizabeth (Lelli) DiPasquale.
He leaves his wife, Christine (Cormier) DiPasquale; with whom he celebrated their 40th year of marriage July 24, 2021. He also leaves a daughter, Karen Gravel and her husband Ed Gravel of Gardner and a son Mark DiPasquale and his wife Susan of Phillipston; grandchildren Marcus DiPasquale, Tyler DiPasquale, Amy Gravel, and Taylor Chirco. He leaves two brothers, Alfred DiPasquale of Waltham and Thomas DiPasquale of New Hampshire.
He was predeceased by his parents; brother, John DiPasquale; sisters MaryAnn Deese and his “special angel” Judith DiPasquale.
Bernie was educated in Fitchburg schools and received his GED thru MWCC. He graduated from the Massachusetts Police Academy in 1972 and served on the Gardner Police Department for 20 years prior to retirement.
A memorial mass will be held on Friday, April 8, 2022 at 10:30 am in Annunciation Parish – Holy Rosary Church 135 Nichols St., Gardner. Burial in St. Bernard Cemetery, Fitchburg will be private at a later date.
