Bernard A. Doucette, Jr.
Orange – Bernard A. Doucette, 57, died unexpectedly Sunday, September 1, 2013 at the Leominster Hospital.
Bernard was born January 21, 1956 in Peterborough, New Hampshire, the son of Bernard A. and Mary (Landry) Doucette, Sr. Bernard grew up and lived in Peterborough and Francestown, NH and attended Conval Regional High School in Peterborough. He also attended Kaplan University where he received a certificate in crime scene investigation. He has lived in the Athol-Orange area since 1989.
Bernard worked for Metro Crime Prevention Company for the past 13 years. He loved music, playing his guitar with his sons and brothers, singing and working on his computer. Bernard was very active in martial arts earning his black belt in TaeKwonDo. He especially enjoyed spending time with his large family.
He leaves his wife of 40 years, Susan (Moore) Doucette; six daughters, Shannon, Donna, Tammy, Crystal, Amanda and Ashley Doucette; four sons, Bernard, III, Lee, Kenneth and Edward Doucette and 11 grandchildren. Besides his parents he was predeceased by a son, Jamie and two brothers.
A celebration of Bernard’s life will be held Sunday, September 15, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. at the American Lithuanian Naturalization Club, 365 South Street, Athol.
