ATHOL - Bernard L Duguay, 70 of 1596 Old Keene Rd., Athol, died Friday, September 14, 2007 in the Heywood Hospital, Gardner.
He was born in Athol, on May 2, 1937, the son of the late Gustave and the late Edna (Bennett) Duguay.
He grew up in Athol and graduated from Athol High School. He was a self-employed carpenter and repair contractor.
He was active in several local bands and was well known as a dance instructor. He was one of the founders of the Athol Hot Rod Club and enjoyed cars and motorcycles.
He was an active member of the Gardner Eagles Club where he served as past president.
He leaves two daughters, Patricia Dorval-Henderson of Gardner and Catherine Johnson of Ashburnham; seven grandchldren, Catherine's children Justin Johnson, Heather Hebert and James Hebert; Patricia's children, Alicia Dorval, Danielle Dorval, Taylor Rose Dorval and Austin Henderson; and two great grandchildren Kayden Jacobs and Ella Brothers.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at 10:00 am in the Fiske Funeral Home, 1356 Main Street, Athol. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held Monday, September 17, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
