WINCHENDON- Bernard J. “Benny” Gronowicz, 43, of Winchendon, died Saturday, July 14, from injuries sustained in a car accident.
Benny was born August 23, 1974, in Gardner, son of Bernard H. and Susan (Lehtomaki) Gronowicz. He graduated from Athol High School in 1992, and moved on to graduate from Bryant College Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business Management in 1996. He was currently an Inside Sales Supervisor for United Site Services and had previously worked for many years at SimplexGrinnell. Benny was passionate about towing and recovery, semi-trucks, model trains, auto racing, and loved to read.
He was loyal, reliable, and incredibly generous with his time, helping others and always up for a road trip. Benny was lucky to have a brother who was also his friend. He enjoyed watching Matt race motocross and often traveled to help out at races. Benny could often be found with his second family at TJ’s Auto Repair and Towing. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Benny leaves his parents, Bernard H. and Susan (Lehtomaki) Gronowicz of Largo, FL; his brother, Matthew Gronowicz and his girlfriend, Caroline Dawson, of Westminster; his best friends, Tommy and Peter Farber; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Calling hours are Friday, July 20 from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 P.M. with a Funeral Service at 12pm at the Mack Family Funeral Home, Lamoureux-Smith & Poliks Chapel, 105 Central St., Gardner. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, West St. in Gardner.
