Bernice O. Chiasson

ROYALSTON - Bernice O. (Crumb) Chiasson, 91 of 8 South Royalston Road, Royalston, died Thursday, February 7, 2008 in the Baldwinville Nursing Home. She was born in Royalston, on June 6, 1916, the daughter of the late Lynnwood A. and the late Mabel E. (Grant) Crumb. Bernice lived in Royalston all of her life and attended Royalston schools. She was a communicant of Our Lady Queen of Heaven in Royalston. She worked in the Micrometer Division of the L.S. Starrett Company for thirty-three years. She enjoyed being on the Starrett bowling league and was an excellent bowler. She and her husband Jerry were happily married for 54 years and traveled extensively throughout their marriage. Besides her husband, she leaves behind several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Joseph Crumb and Lynnwood A. Crumb, Jr., and by three sisters, Amy Irene Rushford, Helen Pauline Smith and Clara Althea Ferry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 11, 2008 at 11:00 am in Our Lady Immaculate Church, 192 School St., Athol. Burial in Lawrence Brook Cemetery, Royalston will be in the spring. There are no calling hours and all attending the services are asked to go directly to Our Lady Immaculate on Monday. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to Baldwinville Nursing Home 51 Hospital Road, Baldwinville, MA 01436.
