Bernice A. Rowe

LEOMINSTER - Bernice A. (Lawton) Rowe, 91, of 161 Spruce St., Leominster, died Wednesday, July 2, 2008 in Sterling Healthcare, Sterling, Mass. She was born in Fitchburg, on October 28, 1916, the daughter of the late George and the late Regina (Goodreau) Lawton. Mrs. Rowe grew up in Leominster and graduated from Leominster High School with the Class of 1933. She was a member of St. Cecilia's Church. She leaves one daughter, Donna Arsenault of Leominster; three sons, Joseph Rowe, Jr. of Wells, ME, George Rowe and Dexter Rowe, both of Leominster; two sisters, Lorraine Welveart of Leominster, Ruth Matesowicz of Fitchburg; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren, one great great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Rowe, by her brother, Raymond Lawton, and by her sister, Eunice Fluet. Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 5, 2008 at 11:00 a.m. in the Simard Funeral Home, 14 Walker Street, Leominster, Mass. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Leominster, Mass. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home Saturday, July 5, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
