Bessie D. Bolin

ERVING - Bessie D. (Hallett) Bolin, 85, of Erving, died Tuesday, January 5, 2016 in the Baystate Franklin Medical Center, Greenfield. She was born in Erving, on October 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Lester and the late Ethel (Jangro) Hallett. Bessie grew up in Erving, graduated from Orange High School and was a life-long resident of Erving. She served in U. S. Navy as a Seaman at the end of the Korean War. She worked at Erving Paper Mills for many years. Bessie enjoyed crafting and attending craft fairs and playing cards with the seniors at the Orange Senior Center. She leaves two daughters: Maureen K. Pouliot and her husband Stephen of Milford, MA, Margaret J. Foster of Millers Falls, MA; four grandchildren: Dawn Clark, Mary Foster, Heidi Foster and Christy Foster; one great grandchild: Damian Clark; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two brothers Lester Hallet Jr, Robert Hallet and two sisters Margaret Metelica and Heberta Brannan. Funeral services will be private for family and friends. No calling hours are scheduled. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
