WESTMINSTER - Betty Jane (Sidman) (Lore) Jamsa, 75, of 71 Carter Road, Westminster, formerly of Gardner, died Saturday, February 6, 2010 at home, after an illness with her loving family by her side. She was born on February 28, 1934, the daughter of the late Robert A. and the late Alma (Braungardt) Sidman Richards. Betty Jane was born in Jaffrey, NH and moved to Gardner at the age of eleven. She graduated from Gardner High School with the class of 1952 and was a resident of Gardner nearly all of her life. In the 1960's and 1970's, she was an antique dealer and owner operated Betty's Antiques out of her home on Lincoln Street and worked as a therapist for the former Whole Health Institute in Leominster. Beginning in the early 1980s, Betty Jane was a vitamin mineral distributor for Emerson Ecologics and was the owner operator of Northeast Natural Health Services and Bills Boat Storage. She also sold products over the years for various companies including Lia Sophia Jewelry, Princess House Crystal and Longaberger Baskets. Betty Jane was a former member of the Westminster Historical Society, the Heywood Hospital Aid Association, the Mother's Guild of Sacred Heart School and the Eastern Star. She enjoyed flower gardening and creating hand sewn quilts for her beloved family. She leaves five sons, Mark A. Lore of Gardner, Mario J. Lore and his companion Tina Burdick of Pittsfield, MA, Michael R. Lore of Westminster, Matthew C. Lore and his wife Amy of Fitchburg, Anthony R. Lore, Jr. of Westminster; three daughters, Mary A. MacIntosh and her husband James, Marla E. LaGrassa and her husband Walter all of Gardner, Margaret F. Nofziger and her husband Lynn of Brunswick, Ohio; two sisters, Lorraine Daigle and her husband Donald of Lynn Haven, Florida, Roberta Rowe and her husband Brian of Mashpee; sixteen grandchildren, one great grandson, and many nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, William Jamsa, on January 19, 1993; and by her first husband, Anthony Lore, on April 10, 1985. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, February 10th, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Church, 166 Cross St., Gardner. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, February 9th, 2010 from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Mack Funeral Home, 91 Vernon Street, Gardner. Burial in St. John's Cemetery, Gardner, will be held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made in her memory to VNA Care Network and Hospice Development Office, 120 Thomas Street, Worcester, MA 01606-1280. $(document).ready(function(){ });
