Betty J. Veilleux

ATHOL - Betty J. (White) Veilleux, 68 of 107 Spring St., Athol, died suddenly Thursday, May 14, 2009 in the UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester. She was born in Keene, NH, on January 14, 1941, the daughter of the late William and the late Lillian (Brigham) White. Mrs. Veilleux grew up in Dublin, New Hampshire and attended schools there. In 1973, she moved to Athol, MA, where she has resided here for the last 36 years. She worked as a carpenter with her husband Wilfred for many years. She enjoyed golfing, traveling, going to yard sales, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She leaves her husband of 42 years, Wilfred L. Veilleux of Athol; one daughter, Linda Powell of Athol, two sons, Michael Veilleux of Myrtle Beach, SC, John A. Inferrera of Georgia, two brothers, Frank E. White of Dublin, NH, William L. White of Keene, NH; two granddaughters, Michelle Veilleux of Athol, Stefanie Veilleux of Myrtle Beach, SC, one grandson: John Inferrera III of Georgia, two great grandchildren: Samara Qualters of Athol, Dominic W. Veilleux of Athol; her mother-in-law, Doris A. Veilleux of Winchendon; several sisters-in-law, including Elaine White of Dublin, NH; and several nieces and nephews, including Frank E. M. White of Dublin, NH. Mrs. Veilleux was predeceased by her son, Keith A. Veilleux in 1969; by her father, William White in 2006; by her mother, Lillian White in 2007; and by her sister, Lucinda Mae White in 1944. Funeral services will be private.
