ATHOL - BettyAnne Kingsbury, age 84, died Friday, July 1, 2016 at UMass Memorial Medical Center. She is the daughter of the late Walter and the late Mrs. (Smith) Campbell. She was born May 16, 1932 in Hingham and was one of 12 children. BettyAnne enjoyed a longtime marriage to "Yodeling Cowboy” Kenneth Kingsbury, known as Kenny Roberts.I She and her husband toured together and performed together at the Grand Ole Opry. They shared the love of all loves. She also wrote the score to "Another You" starring Richard Pryer and Gene Wilder. She is survived by one son: Paul A. Sprague of Brockton. She also leaves three grandchildren and four great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her husband, Kenneth Kingsbury and her sons Harry F. Sprague II and Gary S. Sprague. Services will be private. Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main Street, Athol, is directing arrangements.
