Beverly Ann (Brassard) Mattos, 67, of Jacksonville, passed away December 30, 2012. She was born in Fitchburg, Massachusetts in 1945 and had lived in Florida for the past 40 years. Mrs. Mattos was a surgical liaison at St. Vincent’s Medical Center and was retired from First Union Bank. She was a member of both Journey Church and Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Jacksonville. Survivors include 3 sons, Darius Kaviany (Rebecca), Robert Mattos and Thomas Garcia; 8 grandchildren, Trinity, Genesis, Abigail, Aniston “Smoogins”, Sedric, Ashlynn, Rachel & Olivia; brother, Raymond Brassard (Kathy) and 2 sisters, Patricia Mobley (Vasco) and Constance Johnson (Francis). Funeral services were held at 11:00am on Friday, January 4, 2013 at Journey Church, 6225-2 Lake Gray Blvd., Jacksonville with Rev. John Vick officiating. The family received friends one hour prior to the service at the church. A graveside committal service will be held on Monday, January 7, 2013 at 1:00pm in Saint Cecilia’s Catholic Cemetery, Florence Street, Leominster, Massachusetts. The family is asking that all of those that are going to be attending the graveside service, to meet at the cemetery.
