Beverly J. (Dora) Truehart

Beverly J. Truehart Athol – Beverly Judith (Dora) Truehart, 77, died Saturday, May 31, 2014 at her home surrounded by her family.        She was born in East Templeton, MA, January 11, 1937, the daughter of Joseph and Evelyn (Brooks) Dora.  She grew up in Templeton, graduating from Templeton High School and has lived in Athol most of her life.       Beverly worked at several local companies, Orange Shoe Shop, Slencil, L.S. Starrett Company, was a home health aide and most recently at Walmart.  Beverly most enjoyed being around family and grandchildren, playing cribbage, going to Fox Woods, reading and traveling.         Beverly leaves her husband of 59 years, Gerald Truehart; three sons, Keith Truehart and his wife Melissa of Orange, James Truehart of Petersham and John Truehart of Athol; two daughters, Patricia Burpee and her husband Thomas of Leominster and Darlene and her spouse Mary-Helen Nutter-Truehart of Orange.  She also leaves a brother, Raymond Dora of Templeton and a sister, Martha Dora of Winchendon; 13 grandchildren, Keith, Jr., Kia, Kari, Christopher, Jessica, Harmony, James, Jr., Krista, Tanya, Thomas, Kennie, Caleb and Elizabeth and 22 great-grandchildren.  She was predeceased by her parents and brothers, Joseph, Cornelius, Robert and Peter and two sisters, Hope and Joan.  The family wishes to thank Phyllis Lovewell and VNA Hospice for their special care.      Funeral service will be held Friday, June 6, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at Higgins-O’Connor Funeral Home, 146 Main St., Athol with the Rev.
