Beverly M. Hancock passed away peacefully at home on September 23, 2024 at the age of 90.
Beverly was born to the late Mae Ballester (Hudlin) and Joseph Ballester on March 31, 1934 in Winchendon, MA. She graduated from Murdock High School class of 1952 where she was the Drum Majorette.
She worked for many years at Stop & Shop in Gardner. Beverly was the beloved wife of the late Richard Hancock with whom she was married for 61 years. She was a devoted wife, mother and Nana and a friend to many. Beverly loved to dance with her husband any chance she could. She was a fashionista to the end and enjoyed shopping. She enjoyed playing cards with family and friends while enjoying an occasional glass of wine.
Beverly was also an animal lover having many pets over the years. She enjoyed cooking and entertaining for her family and friends. Her specialties were lasagna, meatballs, and chocolate chip cookies.
She was predeceased by her two sisters and three brothers including her twin brother Vincent(Sonny) Balester.
She is survived by her two sons Joe Emma and his wife Leonie of Templeton, Michael Hancock and his wife Dee-dee of Tampa, FL; two daughters, Jacyln Emma of Townsend and Karen Lemire of Gardner; six grandchildren, Brandi Emma, Curtis Emma, Tyler Emma, Chris Hancock, Cate Hancock and Juliana Lemire, and one great-grandchild, Eleanor.
A service for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at 11 am at the Massachusetts Veterans' Cemetery, Glenallen Street, Winchendon.
The family would like to thank the French Connection and Central Care Hospice for the loving care they provided.
